Media Center Mural - Ringgold Primary School

The director of Ringgold Primary School media center wanted some kind of great entrance mural for the kids. What she sent me to use was not translatable to her particular space, so I suggested these illustrations on the wall. I suggested we complement them with something that would change, to keep the kids' interest. So, we purchased and installed (2) 24' x 36" poster frames, into which she will put a different set of posters I designed for each calendar month of the school year. I also suggested various elements to hang from the ceiling tiles to augment each new month's theme.

Media Center Mural - Library Entrance Mural: Panarama of the entire field of view, including the October set of posters designed specifically for each side and month.
Media Center Mural - Library Entrance Mural: Closeup of the left side of the enchanted forest mural. Each poster for the left is color-coordinated with the color scheme of that particular mural, so the backgrounds are often black or the grayish blue.
Media Center Mural - Library Entrance Mural: Closeup of the right side of the enchanted forest mural. Each poster for the right is also color-coordinated with the browns and other earth tones on this side of the mural.
Media Center Mural - Library Entrance Mural: This small quote mural provides the transition between the two enchanted forest murals. The frame of the doors was also painted black to coordinate with the murals.
Media Center Mural posters: 20 posters were custom-designed to complement the media center entrance murals. We purchased and installed 24" x 36" poster frames with a snap frames that allow easy interchanging of the posters each month. The frames were hung at eye level for the kids. The top row of media center posters is intended to go on the left where the black painted background is. The bottom row is intended to hang on the brown background.
